Interspecific - glauca x nutkana
A nice R. glauca x R. nutkana blooming in the field. It was pollinated in 2018 and took two years to germinate and two more years to bloom. My first interspecific cross!

Honestly, an improvement to both, and the color is very saturated.
The Rosa glauca from Joan Monteith's work that I later used via another hybridizer has proven to pass down downy resistance 3 generations later into commercial moderns prone to it. It's a really good species to use imo.

Nice! Looks like the foliage is closer to glauca while the bloom leans more towards nutkana (except for maybe the size). It would be great if more crosses picked up the desired traits from each parent like that.
