Do rose need 8C and low light to germinate? is this true for all roses HT to rugosa after a chill and treatment with Calcium nitrate. I have never done this way -warmth and light is my treatment. Could do better? Johannes

I have had germinations in the fridge (where they were getting cold treatment). Also germinations in a room varying rom 45 to 70 F.
I'm not sure if some varieties and species are more particular, or if I would have better germination rates at a specific temperature. But I haven't noticed a big difference in percentage yet when trying different temps.
