One of my goals is to use tetraploid Spinosissima pollen on modern hybrids. In the past I read that DA's Rushing Stream had Spinosissima genes. I am getting OP seedlings from Rushing Stream so I plan to put Spin pollen on it this year.

Re: Rushing Stream
I'm interested to see what characteristics you get from the O.P seedlings to see what it tends to pass on.
How has Rushing Stream performed in your location? Any idea how much Spin genes would be in it?
Are you crossing it with Spin again to reinforce what is already in it?
I was trying Spin genes on Golden Celebration and Graham Thomas to see what it would do.
I have a seedling from each that is strong growing, yet to bloom. Hopefully this year I'll see what comes of it.

Re: Rushing Stream
Rushing Stream has shown great resistance to black spot and it blooms prolifically. I'd love to get some of the fragrance, additional carefree characteristics, and the ferny foliage on a reblooming plant. Using Irish Marbled I'd be delighted with pink marbling against a white background.
