Volunteer seedling

I Volunteer.JPG
I found this last summer when I was weeding under 'Mateo's Silk Butterflies.' Initially had only 6 or 7 petals but has begun to show what looks to me to be Noisette characteristics. There is a 'Alister Stella Gray' nearby. Has a nice fragrance!

Re: First germinations

Transplanting seedlings of:
Manhattan Blue x Doorenbos Selection
Lafter x Paul Ecke, Jr.
Seashell Sands x My Stars
&
OP seedlings from Nyveldt's White and Ping Lim's Golden Eye (which by the way is very fertile as a seed parent - producing red blends, apricots, pale yellow).

Re: Stripes - best seed and pollen parents?

Grimaldi is a relatively healthy striped rose here in GA. It sets hips quite easily. Another Delbard rose, Alfred Sisley, produced some really wild striped seedlings. A friend of mine has a really unique striped seedling from Princess Alexandra of Kent x Citrus Burst.

Re: Your best Mommas and Poppas for...

This past year Ping Lim's Golden Eye was very successful as a seed parent - great germination percentage. It is extremely BS resistant here in Middle GA. OP seedlings were various shades of red, red and white, pale yellow and apricot.

Re: First germinations of 2014

I have over 250 seedlings so far - however, many are OP. I'm still looking for nicely fertile seed parents. Oso Happy Candy Oh has proven to produce seedlings with extreme branching even at a very immature stage. One seedling has 6 buds, but is only 3" tall. I hope to see color soon! I do have sever...
