Agatha(e)s Winter Performance

Continue to be impressed with the cold hardiness of my Serbian sourced and labelled Agath(e)s. In north backyard gardens. Five to 8 foot canes The Canadian sourced wilted in the cold after a couple of successful winters (4) - same back north garden location.

Ten plus winters for Petrovic’s version. Canes however are blotched (burned) and basal breaks take awhile. Now to try and do something is next. Canadian zone 4a on sunny day with Chinooks.

Add photos latter when downsized ...R splendens does not cut it here but being tried again for third time, but Empress occasionally shakes off winter ... tend to believe R splendens is not a part of my Serbian sourced Agatha(e)s.
