I've never grown it, although I see it is available for sale on the Cornhill Nursery website.
Robert Osborne, the owner of Cornhill, has a short description of it in his book "Hardy Roses," described as the same as you have, also noting it is black spot resistant. He also mentions it is vigorous and easy to root.
Comments on the GardenWeb forums sometimes mention the hips dropping.
Great to know it does well for you. How do find the fragrance?
