Hybrid Rosa Virginiana / Hybrid musk / polyantha cross

Postby Warren » Sun Apr 16, 2017 10:18 pm

This is a cross I did using one of my Hybrid virginiana's as a seed parent. (Charles Austin X Rain Bird ) X Red Ballerina (Harkness). The blooms are photosensitive and turn to a light pink as they age.

Quite subtle and pleasant. Does the coloring bleach out in heat, or get stronger? I do have a thing for the shimmering colors in a bush with mutable hues.

Hi Phil, where the sunlight hits the bloom it blushes, those in the shade are white.
