Can you ID this Brownell rose?

I ordered Curly Pink and this is what I received. I'm sure it's not Curly Pink but it does look like it is a Brownell rose. Can anyone ID this one? Orange Ruffels maybe?? Thank you.

It's been a long time since I've grown it, but it looks as if it could be to me.

Thanks Kim. If it's Orange Ruffels, I'd actually be happier than if it was the Curly Pink that I ordered. I've wanted Orange Ruffels for a long time.

Rob,

The blossom also looks a lot like the one I see on Lafter--at least around here.

Thank you Julie. I have Lafter to compare it to and I don't believe this one is lafter. The leaves are different. I will know for sure when they are both in bloom next to each other though.

That's orange ruffles. The leaves of orange ruffles are small and shinny, almost holly like.

My Lafter never has that many petals.

Definitely Orange Ruffels. If I may ask, where did you order it from? I have been looking all over for it since I lost my plant due to a move last year.

Andre,

I ordered Curly Pink from https://www.directgardening.com/ and received Orange Ruffels instead...lucky me. :-) I went back to check their site and I don't see that the actually offer Orange Ruffels. Maybe you could correspond with them to get in touch with their Master Gardener and check availability. Where are you located? Depending on where, I may be able to get plant material to you to either bud graft or root cuttings.

Too funny Rob. And as I suspected too. Years ago I ordered a Curly Pink from that company and also received an Orange Ruffels instead. At that time I didn't realize that it was orange Ruffels and assumed that it was Curly Pink and that my climate was affecting the color. Years later I ordered Orange Ruffels from Vintage Gardens and that's when I realized it was Orange Ruffels. I wouldn't usually order roses from Directgardening anymore, but maybe I should order their "Curly Pink" just so I can get Orange Ruffels again.

BTW you may still want to get a hold of Curly Pink. I have one that I may be able to offer cuttings from (also purchased from Vintage Gardens) later in the season. Excellent disease resistance and a good pollen parent. Warren has done some great things with Curly Pink in his breeding program.

That is too funny Andre. Interesting that one can order Curly Pink and get Orange Ruffels but yet they don't offer Orange Ruffels in their catalog. Very weird. I'd love to get some cuttings of Curly Pink later this season. Thank you for the offer. If you need cuttings of OR later in the season let me know.
