This is your DBL P KO X PP. It is quite a tall plant, notice my bare handed grab to bend it to camera height. That hurt. I will have to check and see if any of the F2's from it are blooming. I seem to remember one, but I have a few PP F2's blooming last yr and this yr. Nice foliage, kind of a rangy plant. Very disease free.

That's a pretty impressive beast -- I rather like it. How big is the blossom? I'm assuming that is, alas, a bit of a suckerer...
Dunno why, but it reminds me a little of a photo I once saw of R. hirtula,

DPKO x Prairie Peace: I'll be using this in crosses this season. It is rudely healthy and thorny!

I guess it all depends on how healthy and how much you feed them. It looks like the DPKo x PP opens around 3-3 1/2" and matures to about 4". I did give them a little ferts this spring, so they are doing well. Both last yr and again this yr., it is an early bloomer and it blooms a bit longer than most of the other PP offspring.

Joe,

Are you planning on making an entry on HMF for that seedling? Thanks!
