Looking for rose ID help for a friend (and curious myself).
His comment:
Hardy in the Alexandria MN area...gets about 2-2.5' tall and wide. Hybrid Tea type foliage and 3-4" flowers....slight deep yellow shade to the centers of the flower. I do not BELIEVE it to be a Hybrid Tea selection. Any help would be great..thanks!

Alexandria MN is in Zone 4. He didn't mention if it gets winter protection. Is that stippling that I see? Is this one of the stippled Buck roses?

Re: Rose ID question
Possibly Prairie Lass but with yellow at the center I think that might be a stretch. The lighter reverse that the picture shows kind of makes me want to say it is not Prairie Lass as well.
Some of the Spanish Rhapsody pictures might be closer (if it is a Buck - it does look to have many Buck qualities to it). Take a look at this picture http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.146613 and this one http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.92120 and this one http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.23345. Admittedly, the number of petals may indicate that this is not Spanish Rhapsody.
A good question to answer is when was the photo taken? In the fall you will see more of the pink stippling but in the summer you will see more yellow base with lighter stippling. Are the blooms solitary or clustered?
